El Nido Palawan Mark and Veronica Esession

One of the most exciting part of my job is that I get to travel and see beautiful places while working. Thank you to Mark and Veronica for bringing us to El Nido, Palawan for their Engagement Shoot. A big shout out also to Veronica’s parents for taking care of us and being so hospitable. It’s a big check off the bucketlist! Oh my, El Nido is  such a paradise!

We arrived in Puerto Princesa dinner time, we freshened up and ate dinner at Turissimo Garden Hotel which is owned by the family of Veronica. We had to take a 6-7 hour to El Nido via land travel and checked in at Joaquinn’s Bed and Breakfast upon arriving. It’s a clean and cozy hotel with a reasonable price too! Family room for 5 pax is only P5,500.00. Francois Roxas did Veronica’s hair and make up there and left early morning for the island hopping. Jemi Nicdao helped them for their clothes styling. It was a whole day of fun shoot under the sun with the breathtaking view of Matinloc Shrine, Snake Island and Big Lagoon. Love! Love!

MPP Tip:

Plan your trip with the couple. For the island hopping, you can usually choose 3-4 islands for the whole day. If you don’t have specific choices, you can choose from their tour packages. It will greatly help if you research ahead on which islands you want to shoot so you can maximize your time. Inform the boatman ahead if you have specific chosen islands because they need to plan the travel. Most of the islands are far from each other so if you don’t plan, you will waste your time travelling back and forth which lessens your time for shooting.

Start hair and make up early in the morning. You need to leave the port as early as possible because aside from shooting, you need to consider time for lunch break, travel in between islands and change in styling.

For the styling, consider clothes that are comfortable and will still look perfect even when wet. Some islands will require you to go down from the boat with water waist deep. Choosing the right clothes will help you move faster.

Enjoy their photos! Just perfect for the summer! Please take me back to the beach!!

Snake Island is one of El Nido’s main attraction for it’s S-shaped sandbar which only appears during low tide.
