Cass and Sheila Engagement Pictorial

I have always believed that to pull off a very nice engagement shoot there should always be teamwork. It is a team effort from the couple and all the suppliers like the Stylist, Hair and Make up Artist and the Photographer. Everyone should only have one goal, and that is to make the shoot perfect for the couple. One should be open with the idea of the others and combine all brilliant concepts. In this way, we not only make the shoot easier but beautiful for the couple. After all, we are doing this for them.

Having some of the best suppliers in the industry, how can you go wrong?

Badang Rueda is the overall head of the team, it is his vision and it is our job to execute it stunningly.

What I like about Joon Dayrit’s creations is simple but very stylish. I am not a fashion expert but I love the effortless style that appears to be subtle. The clothes did not over power the couple. It is just perfect for them and the location.

Mariah Santos for the hair and make-up, do I need to say more? Sheila’s make up transformation is from beautiful to even more beautiful.

We stayed at Costa Pacifica Resort and were able to shoot in Balete Tree and Mother Falls. Badang’s brilliant idea of hanging chandeliers in the roots of the Balete Tree adds character to the look of the first set.

My most favorite set is the second layout, which is around the area of Costa Pacifica. There are a lot of candid photos in this set. The flowy, blush pink gown of Sheila adds daintiness to her look.

The Mother Falls shoot is one of the hardest because we had to do a 30-minute trekking to reach the falls. Talk about passion, huh? While walking Badang saw this huge log and asked Sheila if she can lay down there and looked at me saying that he wants to have a bird’s eye view shot and pointed to this very high huge rock. I slowly looked at it and said, “Ok, how do I get there?” while praying at the back of my mind. Thus, which gave us this “Buwis Buhay” shot.

Work becomes easier when the couples are cooperating. Whatever you ask them to do, they follow right away. Maybe because there’s too much love overflowing that’s why it is easier for them to just be comfortable with the poses and just let it go.

I would say that trust is a big factor in making your shoot successful. When you hire a supplier give your 101 percent trust to them, because if you do, they will give all the love and effort to make your Engagement Session beyond exquisite.

Our almost 8 hour travel trip and a 2 day shoot in Baler, Aurora was definitely worth it.
